Across Somalia and the Horn of Africa, forcibly displaced persons an estimated 3.8 million IDPs, refugees, returnees, and stateless populations face compounding crises: cyclical climate shocks, persistent conflict, and a humanitarian system under severe fiscal pressure. Between 2025 and 2026, mass UN agency and INGO funding cuts rendered thousands of expert humanitarian staff redundant, placing decades of frontline operational knowledge at risk of permanent loss. The communities most affected are those who can least afford it.

Resilient Future Alliance (RFA) exists to ensure that knowledge keeps working for the people who need it. Founded in Galkayo in 2026 and legally registered with MOPEDIC. RFA is a locally led Triple Nexus NGO that absorbs displaced humanitarian expertise and puts it back to work through protection and AoRs, programming for conflict-affected communities, cash assistance, CP, Livelihood, MM and food security responses for displaced populations, climate adaptation support for pastoral and agro-pastoral communities, and durable solutions programming for IDPs and returnees across Somalia.

We offer donors something the sector urgently needs: a credible, registered, locally led delivery partner with the technical depth of a decade of UN-level programming, active government partnerships from Garoowe to Mogadishu, and a community-rooted presence that reaches the FDPs and marginalised populations that larger actors struggle to serve.
